A Comparative Study on Security Guard Training Program between Korea and Germany

The role of private security industry becomes more essential to the free modern society. However, German and Korea Society which are traditionally classified as Continental Law System, are comparatively reluctant to adapt Private Security as a Cooperation Partner in police Work, contrary to Anglo-Americanized countries. In spite of this background, nowadays Korean police try to admit it as a good partner and cooperate with each other for public order maintenance. Furthermore, Private security industries also try to improve their service through the R& D and expand market-share through M & A with multi-national companies. First of all, the quality of service produced possibly influence on the choice of consumers. Especially, training and education programs for security guards and managers will have a important role on security service. So, in this article, through the comparative study on training programs between Korea and Germany, I try to find out alternatives for Korean police and society.
