Among general characteristics of subjects, variables which affect the degree of nutrient supplement use were the level of family income & fathers's education : the higher the level of the family income and father's education, the higher the percentage of nutrient supplement use. There was a negative correlationship between perceived health status and nutrient supplement use: the poorer the heal th status of subjects, the higher the percentage of nutrient supplement use.
