Thermally Stimulated Current from Positively Charged PET Film

TSC curve from alkaline metal ion injected PET using liquid contact method show two peaks at about 350 k(peak A) and 380 K(peak B). peak A is found to be due to permanent dipole alignment and peak B due to ionic space charge polarization. Activation energy and escape frequency for peak B is found to be (2.54 ± 0. 21) aV and (4. 17 ± 0. 16)×10³² sec^-1 repectively, And equilibrium polarization surface charge density(??eq) is found to be about 5.4×10^-10 C/ ㎝ at 300V of injection voltage from curve fitting experimental results to theoretical values. The radius of bydrated ions is found to play an important role in ion injection process.
