Inelastic scattering between nuclei are investigated within the framework of the standard Glauber model which is based on experimental nucleon-nucleon total reaction cross sections and nuclear densities. It has been applied satisfactorily to inelastic scattering of the first 2⁴ states in the ⁴²Ca(⁴HE, ⁴HE)⁴²Ca and ⁴⁴Ca(⁴He, ⁴He)⁴⁴Ca at E??=1370 MeV
