한국 인본주의심리학의 현황과 과제

Current Status and Problems of Humanistic Psychology in Korea

본고에서는 한국에서의 인본주의 심리학의 역사적 배경 및 과거 활동과 현재 상황 그리고 앞으로의 전망과 과제등을 논하고 있다. 인본주의적 접근은 1958년경에 소개되어 60년대 이후 20여년간 각광 받아 왔으나 최근 다소 비중이 감소된 상황이다. 한편, 인본주의적 접근은 인간성 교육 운동의 형태로도 활발한 실천 활동을 전개해 왔다. 현재 심리학계 내에서의 인본주의 접근은 두가지 흐름으로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 인본주의 심리학은 개념의 복합성, 접근 방법론의 과제, 그리고 전문 교육활동 사의 과제를 극복해야 할 것이다.

This paper discusses the historical background and past activity, present trends, and future prospects of humanistic psychology in Korea. The humanistic approach was introduced around 1958 and has been utilized for about 20 years since the 1960's, but recently its value has diminished. The humanistic approach has also actively been applied to the humanism education movement. In the academia of Korean psychology, the humanistic approach can be divided into two trends. Humanistic psychology has yet to overcome the complexity of the concept itself, the problem of methodology, and the problem of professional education activity.
