A Study of Economic Reforms in China

The economic policy of China was much changed since 1979. In a domestic policy, China carried out the reform of the economic system, and in a foreign policy China has been promoting an economic open policy in order to introduce the technology and the capital of developed countries. The purpose of this study is to review the causes and the contents of the economic reform since 1979, and to prospect the future. Chapter Ⅰ surveys the process of forming the present economic control system and the most recent reform. Chapter Ⅱ outlooks the traditional agricultural production system and its latest reform. Chapter Ⅲ deals with the economic reform in a city, especially the reform of the control system of the firm in the manufacturing industry. Chapter Ⅳ summarizes the direction of the economic reform and come to a conclusion by prospecting the future.
