An Empirical Study on the Job Attitude Changesof Teachers and Bank Employees

This study was designed to take a look at the job attitudes of teachers and financial employees over five years beginning in 1980. For this study, a research was done on the theoretical background by reviewing previous studies and setting up a study model. This was verified with Factor analysis and Multi regression analysis. We analyzed the factors that have influences on job attitudes. It was a general trait that there was a flow from the inside to the outside of human beings in a order of psychological support > job satisfaction > organization and job traits. To speak more specifically, as for psychological support, relationships between colleagues > family atmosphere > recognition in work > consideration from bosses was examined. As for job satisfaction, the fitness of job aptitudes > satisfaction of the social status was examined. And as for organization and job traits, the vision of the company > operation policies and regulations > working environment > the possibility of promotion was the order that gave each factor influence. And three independent variable in job attitude that is independent of variance has influence in order of responsibility for job > attitudes for new jobs > attitudes for raising wage. The above study implies the follows, First, not only are human beings acting with economical needs but they are also affected by social physical conditions, which is called, multilateral being. And private activities or relationships caused by some reason in working place have influence on the behavior of every individual. Second, the faith for the company's future, in other words, expectation and firm belief rather than organizational environment inside are having more impact on job attitudes. And this has been more obvious through the late 90's with the IMF crisis. Third, what the individual in organization is most interested in is more declined to economic desire with security for the future which is a more private thing when compared with 10 years ago. To say that again, they lean toward security rather than challenge. Even though this study shows these trends, it has several limitations. First, you can't exclude the possibility of a common method variance because it is based on the individual survey. Second, there might be a logical fallacy because the relationship between job attitude that is dependent variance and independent variance were set by previous research. And the next study should be more aware of potential structure of job attitude with a research paper that contains more questions and CFA(Confirmatory Factor Analysis).
