Impact of Information Flow Differences on the Cost-oriented Business to Business

In this paper, we focus on a decentralized supply chain, which has four type divisions such as retailer, wholesaler, distributor, and factory. Each division is managed by different centers individually with their own local inventory information. Both the material and information flows in the supply chain are strongly restricted to their delays. Under the common rule that the division managers share a common goal to optimize the global performance of the supply chain, we mention the more appropriate decision rules for the decisions. More optimal in overall solution, more much information leadtimes in determining the optimal replenishment strategies. Then we show the bullwhip effect caused by four divisions. And we proposed importance for the upstream members of the supply chain to have access to accurate customer demand information.
