It shows that the function of personnel department is being more and more strategic and contribute to the change management of environment emerging from not only internal but also external. It also reveals the several illustrations of improved personnel function of Korean company which are computerization of personnel management, establishing of personnel management system and introducing Annual Salary system. Major goals of HRM appear introducing of Annual Salary system, and developing of training and evaluating. It could be the evidence that human resources are being considered as source of competitive advantage which means "forwarding SHRM". Meanwhile it advices Korean company that they are facing to challenging tasks such as restructuring, establishing more effective Annual salary system and building organization's culture. And it pins CEO's will is the very priority to establish knowledge management. It indicates the reality of ours within the change of company's critical environment caused by IMF crisis in 1997 and the wild wave of globalization. On this situation it is evident that CEO's firm and practical willingness to achieve competitive advantage and company's advanced system is an essential prerequisite. It also indicates the increasing importance of HRM for company to achieve continuous competitive advantage. It suggests us the fitness of company's management strategy as superior strategy and HRM as inferior strategy which wakes us relatively increasing role of HRM strategy. Accordingly, the very responsive and challenging effort of HRM strategy to have reliable and continuous competitive advantage is the Korean company's prerequisite in this era.
