Korean Construction Firm's Management Innovation Efforts - Focus on Work-out Construction Firm's Case -

After the economic crisis, Korean construction have beared many difficulties because of the stagnation and higher competition of construction industry. Consequently, some of construction companies have been pointed out as the work-out. The object of this research presents the future directions by investigate that how these work-out companies have tried to overcome their problems and how they do the management innovations. This study have four chapters and one appendix. The introductory chapter and chapter two describe the work-out policy and the present status of the work-out firms. Chapter three describes and presents the successful methods of the company's new improved management which are lead to the success from the work-out situation. In chapter four described the results, summary, Implications and limits of this study. Conclusions from this study are followings. First, whether it is construction or manufacturer companies, all the work-out firms endeavored for the achievement by the reduction of non-core businesses, cut down an expenses or cost. Second, In the case of succeed company, they make a investment in R&D, value of their own brand and the corporate images. Third, fast growth of the residential market gives a quick recovery of construction industry. However, they should establish the flexible business-structure for the economic fluctuations. In change of environment, company must do the management innovation. And, it would be a good succeed If the companies can take a suitable manage innovation which is adopt to the current direction of the industry developing.
