This study analyzes about the consciousness of general public on enterprises and entrepreneurs. Based on survey data, the analysis has mainly two parts : one is a simple statistical analysis and the second is a regression analysis based on logit and probit models. Both are analyzing how the level of consciousness on enterprises and entrepreneurs differs across the respondent's characteristics. The sample consists of public, students, professors and personnel managers working at private firms. The main findings are as follows: first, the general public except professors and personnel managers has negative view on large enterprises and entrepreneurs. However, the respondents have positive view on small-and-medium sized firms. Male respondents are more favorably inclined toward the large firms and entrepreneurs than female respondents. The strength of favor increases, as age of respondents gets older. For the education level, the respondents with elementary school education have the most favor to the enterprises and entrepreneurs than ones with any other education level. Above all the other 15 questions, the most important question is about the general public's consciousness about the primary motivation of business activities. Contribution to society is ranked first by the public, while profit and development of firm is ranked first by the professors and personnel managers working at firms. To control other variables on the consciousness, we conducted the regression analysis. From the regression analysis, the results are similar to the simple statistical analysis. For the measure of model fitness, count R-squared is calculated as 62-75% for each model, which shows fairly high values.
