A Survey of the Papers related to the Linguistics in Korean Language and Literature

This paper surveys the papers related to the linguistics in the journal Korean Language and Literature up to the volume 49. There are 234 papers in this journal. I divide these papers into four periods. In the first period the study was not active. But in the fourth period the study was very active than ever before. The boundary of the study was broad and the parts were versatile. Among them the study on the syntax topped in the list. And the study on the semantics, phonology and morphology was comparatively active. But there were not many papers dealt with the general linguistics, stylistics, education, comparative study and tonology. From now on the tendency of rhe study on the Korean linguistics will be more creative, global, basic, pragmatic and synthetic.
