Yowol-jeong(the name of pavilion), which Kim Kyong-woo built in 16th century, is located in Hwangryong-myon, ]angsung-gun. This paper aims to look through 'Pavilion Literature' around Yowol-jeong. The first aim is to look through the network of human relationship around Yowol-jeong, dividing 16th and 17 -18th century. Next is to look through the way to describe the fine view around pavilion. And final is to investigate the cultural-historical meaning of Yowol-jeong. Here are the writers who wrote poetry at Yowol-jeong in 16th century : Haseo Kim In-hoo, Songchon Yang Eung-jeong, Gobong Gi Dae-seung and so on. These are all scholars who went through a massacre of scholars. The aspect, however, to present natural scenary is definitely different. It means that their appreciation about literature is different. Also it can be the reason why we should nor regard all scholars in 16th century same or similar. In 17-8th century, there were the groups which produced the works of Pavilion Literature. One was the group which was constituted scholars of No-ron(老論). The people in the group were writers who stayed at Hwangryong-myon, stepping back from the vortex of party strife. The other was related with people of Gwangsan Kim's clan. With reference to all as above, it can be said that the literature around Yowol-jeong became political and factious in the latter period of Chosun dynasty.
