A Study on the Urban Renewal of CBD and Kangbuk Plan in Seoul

1. CONTENTS (1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES After 1960's, the CBD of Seoul City was proposed to perform central function but its physical envitonment was so inferior and it's land use was so inefficient. So Government and Seoul City Government promoted urban renewal of CBD in Seoul for pysical improve and development of the Urban Renewal of CBD and Kangbuk Plan in Seoul. (2) RESEARCH METHOD Urban planing analysis, Take professional advice, Urban data analysis and so on. (3) RESEARCH RESULTS The main contents of this study is composed of the following: the present condition of the Urban Renewal of CBD, the plan of the Urban Renewal of CBD, the plan of Kangbuk Urban Renewal, the development of the Urban Renewal of CBD. 2. RESULTS The CBD renewal of Seoul City has not been promoted continuously and Government used it temporatily as a means of arrangement of international events. So physical inferior envitonment still has not improved. The public sector has to particilate much more and more directly. In addition inducement policies for the private sector have to be lasted. 3.
