「장끼전」의 구조와 교과서 수록양상 연구

A study on the srtructure and features of Janggi-Jean adopted in school textbooks

There have been many reports on 「Janggi-Jean」. But very few reports have studied 「Janggi-Jean」from the viewpoint of its features in textbooks and using it as a teaching material. Thus, we will investigate structures and types of 「Janggi-Jean」based on the results of previous researches. Two kinds of 「Janggi-Jean」which were adopted in W reading_ of sixth graders during the fifth through seventh education curriculum and 「Chosuneomun(조선어문)」 will be used in this research. We will study on features of the two 「Janggi-Jean」 and find a favorable feature to be used it as a text in schoolbook. In chapter II, several types of 「Janggi-Jean」and their values as texts for education were investigated. 「Janggi-Jean」is an old novel and there is no information on when it was written and by whom. 「Janggi-Jean」is a moral story which describes several instructions satirically and humorously: to be open to others' advice, to avoid too much greed and to keep chastity especially for women. There was a pansori-Janggi which criticized the bluff of Janggi and then the pansori failed to be transmitted. Then, the pansori changed into Kasa, in which the widowed Ggaturi took difficult time and finally, Ggaturi got remarried. The parts (remarriage of Ggaturi) seemed to be attached When it was changed to novel. From an educational point of view, we can point out the following findings. First, students can learn a habit to observe subjects in detail and find out truth behind the observation through an indirect experience in the 「Janggi-Jean」where two aspects of beans were described, a prey and a decoy. Secondly, students can learn culture of reasonable discussion through conversations of Janggi and Ggaturi in front of beans. Thirdly, readers can reflect their present lives and find a new meaning of their lives through an indirect experience of the hard life of the main character, Fourthly, children who long to understand the abstract world can improve their thinking ability which enables them to be creative since 「Janggi-Jean」was a product of creativity Fifthly, children can improve their ability of expressing their ideas using decent and beautiful words since our unique onomatopoetic words and mimicry words abound in the 「Janggi-Jean」. Sixthly「Janggi-Jean」will contribute to the inheritance and improvement of our cultural heritage since thinking, ideology, and sense of value of our ancestors are disclosed in 「Janggi-Jean」. In chapter Ⅲ, we analyzed the structure of 「Janggi-Jean」from instinctive survival strategy, a dualism of prey and decoy, a disruption of public opinion and awakening selection. 「Janggi-Jean」has a type of repeating structure in which conflict and its resolution occurs two times. In chapter IV, we investigated how 「Janggi-Jean」is accommodated in the textbooks, Parts of 「Janggi-Jean」was adopted without revising as a text in schoolbooks in 1962 and 1968. The revised early part of 「Janggi-Jean」was adopted for elementary school textbooks With a title of 「form 'Janggi-Jean'」the former part of 「Janggi-Jean」was used in the sixth graders' schoolbook(6-1. 『Reading』) during the 5th and 6th educational curriculum. And it was also adopted as a text in 『Reading』6-1 during the 7th educational curriculum. Unlike 「Janggi-Jean」 in the high school textbook, 「form 'Janggi-Jean'」of the 5th and 7th curriculum and 「Janggi-Jean」 in the 7th curriculum showed revised former parts of the 「Janggi-Jean」. In the 「Janggi-Jean」 of the 7th curriculum, parts of poem and illustrations which were included in the 6th curriculum were deleted. In 『Chosun-eomun(조선어문)』, 「Janggi-Jean」is included in the revised form similar to that of the 5th and 6th curriculum with different purpose of learning. In chapter IV, to find out a favorable method to use 「Janggi-Jean」as a text, by analyzing the Janggi-Jean' s, teaching direction and applicable models of teaching and learning were pursued.
