제 7차 초등영어 교육과정의 현황에 관한 연구: 교사와 장학사 중심 설문 조사를 통하여

The purpose of this study is to examine the current state of Seventh National Elementary English Curriculum. This study was conducted through a questionnaire-based survey focusing on teachers and supervisors. The subjects were 82 teachers and 20 supervisors living in Daejeon megalopolis and Chungnam province. They were given a questionnaire concerning Seventh National Elementary English Curriculum Statistical analyses including one-way ANOVA and independent sample t-test were performed to determine: (a) the differences of megalopolis, city, and county in regard to Seventh National Elementary English Curriculum; (b) the difference of educational experience with regard to Seventh National Elementary English Curriculum; (c) the differences between teachers and supervisors regarding Seventh National Elementary English Curriculum. In addition to these, analyses of the open-end questionnaire were performed to examine the current state concerning Seventh National Elementary English Curriculum as perceived by teachers and supervisors. The results of this study reveal that Seventh National Elementary English Curriculum should be revised in some respects. It is recommended that speciality teachers and their training opportunities be augmented all over the country. It is also recommended that level-based materials of written language be given to teachers, and performance assessment be reinforced in the Korean context. It is also suggested that further, nation-wide research focusing on teachers and students be conducted regarding Seventh National Elementary English Curriculum.
