This study explored Korean child EFL learners' acquisition of English inflectional phrases. Based on the basic tenets of Weak Continuity Hypothesis within the framework of Functional Category Acquisition, this study examined affirmative sentences produced by four children for one year. Results showed that the learners began to acquire verb phrases and inflectional phrases at the same time. In addition, the learners did rot show any developmental tendency the Weak Continuity Hypothesis predicted. Despite robust evidence of producing inflectional phrases, the learners showed rare acquisition of inflectional morphology except copula 'be'. These results led to the conclusion that the acquisition of inflectional morphology takes longer time than expected.
