음성 기술을 활용한 초등학교 영어 대화문 지도 컨텐츠 개발

The purpose of this study was to develop CD-ROM multimedia contents which are interactive and to introduce the possibility of using speech technology in English education. The contents which were developed for fourth graders were evaluated by teachers and students through an experimental study which was conducted with fourth graders(N=87) in an elementary school. This technology was valued highly in education because it made students more capable of interaction with other students. The use of speech technology increased the interest and motivation of students and interaction in the elementary school. The results showed that the use of the contents helped students have more confidence about participating in speaking with their friends. In addition, interest in speaking and continuity of dialogues among students speaking with their friends were increased by the use of the contents.
