초등학교 특수학급 교사의 의사결정 참여와 조직적응성

The Decision-Making Participation to Organizational Adaptability among Elementary Special Class Teachers

이 연구는 시대적 요청에 따라 통합교육의 핵심에 놓여있는 특수학급 교사들이 학교 현장에서 의사결정 참여와 조직적응성이 어느 정도인지 알아보고 이의 상관관계를 밝혀 특수학급 교사가 학교에 적응하여 의욕적으로 교육과 업무에 임하는 자세를 가지도록 하는 것의 기초자료를 제공하고자 하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 부산광역시 소재 2003학년도 초등학교 특수학급 교사 300명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 설문 분석 결과 의사결정 참여와 조직적응성, 그리고 이의 상관관계에서 변인에 따라 집단간 차이를 나타내었으며 이 결과에 근거하여 후속연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the degree of decision- making participation by special class teachers in elementary school and their organizational adaptability by gender, age, type of certificate, special-education career and school size. It's additionally meant to determine the correlation between the two factors in order to help special class teachers better adjusted to school organization. And Pearson simple correlation was employed to identify the relationship of decision-making participation to organizational adaptability. First, a vast majority of the teachers felt that their level of being involved in decision-making process was on the average. Second, their organizational adaptability was slightly above the average. Third, their level of participating in decision making was positively correlated to organizational adaptability. Based on the above-mentioned findings, there are some suggestions about future research efforts: First, school administrators should actively encourage teachers who are female, less experienced and certified as special teachers only to take more part in decision making, as the rate of those teachers is growing. And larger schools with 35 classes or more should create the condition for special class teachers to be involved in decision making and get better settled in school organization. Second, if both qualitative and quantitative research efforts are made together by utilizing a survey, practical information will be produced about the successful adjustment of special class teachers to school. Third, wider range of subjects and geographic areas should be examined to generate more generalizable results.
