감각 장애 아동을 위한 진단·평가 도구 개발 및 진단가용 웹기반 전문가 시스템 구축: 시기능 진단·평가 도구의 타당도와 신뢰도

Development of diagnostic assessment instruments for individuals with sensory impairments and web-based expert systems to connect assessors: Psychometric evaluation of the visual functioning diagnostic assessment procedure

이 연구는 감각 손상 학습자의 적정 배치의 체계화와 특수교육의 질적 제고를위한 시기능 진단·평가도구의 개발과 시효율성 증진을 위한 중개 프로그램 개발을 위한 기초연구의 일환으로 한성희(1994)에 의해서 개발된 『시기능 사정 도구』를 수정·보완한 시기능 진단·평가 도구(VFDAP)의 표준화를 위한 타당도와 신뢰도에 대한 분석이다. 시기능 진단·평가 도구(VFDAP)는 타당도와 신뢰도가 높은 도구로서 시각 손상 학습자들의 다양한 영역의 시기능을 정확하게 진단·평가하여 시각 손상 학습자의 배치와 적합한 교육환경의 설계 뿐 아니라, 평가 결과를 토대로 하여 개별화 교육 계획을 수립하는데 도움을 주는 도구임이 입증되었다. 이 연구를 통해 시기능 진단·평가 도구(VFDAP)의 표준화의 기초를 마련하였고, 후속 연구인 시효율성 증진 프로그램을 구성하는데 있어서 중요한 한가지 시사점을 제시해 줄 수 있는 연구 결과 즉, 시기능과 인지 능력의 관련성이 매우 높다는 것도 밝혀졌다. 따라서 시효율성 증진 프로그램을 개발할 때에는 시기능의 기능적인 측면뿐 아니라, 시각 손상 학습자들의 인지학습적인 측면과 시각 이외의 다른 감각을 적극적으로 활용하는 교수 방법과 활동 중심의 프로그램을 개발해야 할 것이다.

A psychometric evaluation was conducted in order to examine the reliability and the validity for the visual functioning diagnostic assessment procedure(VFDAP), which assess the visual efficiency for learners with visual impairment and low vision. The VFDAP was administered to 93 learners with visual impairments. Reliability coefficients showed that the VFDAP was highly consistent and accurate (Cronbach's α= .9935). Both the content and construct validity of the VFDAP was discussed in terms of the hierarchical nature of the VFDAP. As the result of item analyais, interesting results were found and discussed that the relation between visual functioning skills and the cognitive development of the learners with visual impairment and low vision.
