This article is to identify consumption culture of the two country's new generations, freshmen and sophomores of the students, and finally to infer their lifestyle characteristics by analysizing five parts such as clothing, shopping habits, value, information seeking and internet advertisement. Additionally we analysized and investigated some differences between the two groups that they use personal computers with different purposes. For example, Korean students enjoy on-line games, chatting, music appreciation and some site visiting very much than Japanese students. However there are almost little differences on e-mail application between the two groups. To make clear the potential differences we tried to apply factor analysis, t-test, F-test, χsquares by using spss statistical packages. Among the totally extracted 23 items the two groups showed statistically significant differences on 18 items and no differences on 5 items. They are for example as follows, 「shopping after considerable thinking and comparison」,「early adopter」, 「impulse purchasing」, 「cellular phone is important」, 「sweet home value」. However this kind of research is far from investigating clear differences between the two groups. This exploratory research should be compensated by some in-depth basic researches using some cultural factors such as languages, religions, values, habits, prejudices etc.
