Requisites for the Application of ebXML in Electronic Trade

The recent studies have indicated that ebXML is in the process of supplementing EDI's shortcoming and facilitating the international commerce more efficiently in the open network system. For the purpose of the efficient application of ebXML to the international commerce, legal arrangements and practices need to be established to explore the technological development in this field. In this study, I examine appliable possibilities of ebXML in electronic trade and suggest the direction that regulates the transaction through ebXML. The harmony with international commercial practice(i.e. negotiability and presentation of transport documents etc.) is important to enhance using ebXML in electronic trade from this perspective. Thus, works to include these need in foregoing working process. So I represent hereafter requisites for settlement of ebXML in electronic trade. First, a multilateral agreement needs to be reconstructed to overcome CPA's shortcomings. Second, if it is increased to work having interoperability with different trading system( Bolero and SWIFT etc.), it may be raised agreement with international commerce practice. Third, The roles of Registry/Repositry of ebXML should be established and the registry/repositry distributed with central and industrial, might be established corporation standards to connect each other. Finally, the standard details should be developed as rules while UN/CEFACT establishes Business Process and Core Component works for electronic documents standard.
