필자는 이 논문의 제 1편에서 범주 교육의 역사와 그림 해석으로서 범주 형성을 다루었다. 이어서 본 논문은 제 2편으로 범주를 사고망(Mind Map)으로 표현하는 방법에 대해 다룬다. 사고망은 부잔(T. Buzan)에 의해 개발된 탁월한 학습법과 기억술로 간주된다. 필자가 다루는 사고망은 초등학교에서 중·고등학교까지 다양한 방법으로 응용할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다. 여기에서는 시각적 매체나 미술 작품이 전달하는 시각적 정보를 여러 범주로 보고 그것을 평면에 사고망으로 구조화하여 시각화하는 방법이 다루어진다. 사고망은 각 범주를 위계로 나타내는 활동이다. 학습자들은 여기에서 각 범주를 언어나 상징으로 정의하고 이를 해석한다. 보다 효과적인 범주를 만들기 위해서는 교사는 범주 수업을 구조해야 한다. 먼저 학습자들에게 학습 대상에 대한 문제를 제기해 주어, 여러 정보를 범주로 볼 수 있게 하고, 서로의 생각을 나누도록 대화의 시간을 제공하고, 이를 사고망으로 표현하여 구조시키도록 지도해야 한다. 범주를 사고망으로 제작하는 목적은 시각적 자료를 추상적이고 합리적으로 미적 판단을 내리게 하는 데 있다.

The study is the second part in a sequenced study: “The History of Categorization, Categorization As Image Interpretation.” In this study, the visualization of building categories with Buzans mind-map is covered. Mind Mapping is an activity of building categories based on hierarchies. Tonny Buzan made the mind-map in the early 1990's. The mind-map is known as an excellent learning method and is mnemonic in theory. The visual information in my study is understood as complex, and should be arranged in many categories. The mind-map nets the categories out of the learning object in the structure. The learners have to define and to categorize the information with concepts or signs. This process is the activity of interpretation. If we could take in the effects better, the teacher could then easily structure lesson plans for maximum learning benefit. The teacher should help the students to organize the problem fields out of the visual information by certain conditions, and help them structure these problem fields in categories. This activity subsidizes the teaching of the learning method and the building of categories. By exchanging their opinions and defining the categories, the students get a better understanding of the hierarchy of the knowledge.
