본 연구의 목적은 초등 교사들의 미술연수에 대한 실태 및 요구사항을 알아봄으로써 초등교사 미술 연수의 개선 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 서울·경기 지역 소재 현직 초등학교 교사 235명을 대상으로 설문 조사·분석하였다. 초등 교사들이 미술 연수과정 내용 및 운영에 대하여 어느 정도로 만족하고 있는가에 대한 조사 결과는 전반적으로 볼 때, 그다지 높지 않은 것으로 나타났으며, 미술연수 개선 방안 제시를 위한 초등 교사들의 요구조사 결과와 종합하여 볼 때, 미술연수의 실효성을 높이기 위해서는 연수 과정의 내용 및 운영의 전반에 걸쳐서 보다 합리적인 개선이 요구되는 것으로 판단되므로, 이 결과를 기초로 하여 몇 가지 개선 방안을 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study is to grope for a reform measure of fine arts training after analyzing the programs of the fine art training institute and investigating what the elementary school teachers' demands are among the programs of teachers' present post training under the premise that the base of elementary school fine art education ist the very teacher' education. The result of the questionnaires is as follows; First, as the result of making a search for the teachers who had ever participated in the fine art teachers' training the degree of their satisfaction with the fine art teachers' training was recognized a little higher than common. Next, as the result of the survey of their opinion on the scheme of fine art teachers' training regardless of their experience in the training, most of it was that the method of the training should be diversified, the opportunity to participate in the training should be widen, and their treatment should be improved after attending the training. The most appropriate thing as a way of the management of fine art teachers' training is preferred to voluntarily cooperative training of schools or the unit of districts and the fields of fine art section for them to want to attend in the training are shown in various ones such as drawing, paper work, appreciation, making, and dyeing industrial art and so forth. Fine art teachers recognize the training as necessary and no less helpful to application to the practical education, but the fine art training has not been activated so far because of such factors as the excess of their work, and the lack of time, and varied programs and so on.
