Young people called "the N generation" grow up in the cyberspace at their pleasure. There are generation and cultural gaps between these young people and the established. Therefore, important problems to be solved are how to converse and get a sympathy with young people. The author suggests the commonage of visual culture which can make a visual sympathy as a method to understand and cooperate with each other. We should build up a visual culture embracing the old generation for commonage, reconciliation, and share, not for conflict and rupture between generations and nations. The study emphasizes the importance of public media centers as public places to build up this culture.
