Performance Evaluation of UMTS-like WCDMA for 3G Mobile Radio Systems

UMTS wideband code division multiple access(WCDMA) is one of the major new third generation mobile communication systems being developed within the IMT-2000 framework. This paper aims to investigate the link performance of WCDMA over many conceivable transmission scenarios in order to provide efficiently good link quaity. Many WCDMA features are included in the simulation and a rigorous study for the performance is made.
