In this paper, we propose the design method for sensorless vector control of the induction motor. The design procedures have two steps. The first step is optimizing the initial parameter gain of sensorless vector controller using tabu search. In this step the modified tabu search is used to improve the efficiency of selecting neighbor solution. The second step is adjusting the parameters of controller adaptively according to the changes of environment. In order to show the usefulness of the proposed method, we apply the proposed controller to the sensorless speed control of an actual AC induction Motor System. The performance of this approach is verified through simulation.
