Analysis of Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders' Causes According to a Part of Worker's Body in a Coating Work

Work-related musculoskeletal disorders(WMSDs) became a hot issue in Korea since many workers reported the musculoskeletal disorder problems in auto-manufacturing industry and shipbuilding industry, such as an attack of group diseases. Also, WMSDs became a social problem which caused a conflict between labor and capital since labor unions started to pay attention to musculoskeletal problems and have asked the Korean government to enact a law which requires companies to take measures to improve work conditions to eliminate WMSDs at work. The objective of this study was to analyze WMSDs' causes according to a part of worker's body through using a data of health and safety in a coating work. The result of this study may be used to prevent WMSDs' causes in a coating work in advance and helpful to prepare for a law related to prevent WMSDs enacted.
