급수계통내의 계면활성제 오염정도를 규명하기 위해 부산시와 진주시에서 취수장원수, 정수장처리수, 수도수를 채수하여 ABS(Alkyl Benzene Sulfonate)농도를 측정하였다. MBAS(Methylene Blue Active Substances)방법과 IR분광광도법에 의한 ABS/MBAS비 결정방법으로 ABS의 농도를 측정한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. MBAS분광광도법에 대한 ABS의 회수율은 92%이상이었으며 MBAS분광광도법과 IR분광광도법을 병행한 ABS의 분석에 있어서의 상대표준편차는 ±8% 이내로 나타났다. 2. ABS/MBAS비값은 취수장원수에서 0.80, 정수장처리수와 가정수도수에서는 0.52로 나타나므로 MBAS분광광도법만으로 상수내의 ABS를 분석하는데는 상당한 오차가 있음이 밝혀졌다. 3. 취수장원수에서의 MBAS와 ABS의 함량은 진양호취수장의 원수가 가장 낮아 각각 0.056mg/l, 0.045mg/l이었으며 가장 높은 회동수원지의 원수에서는 0.353mg/l, 0.282mg/l로서 상수도원수의 수질기준인 0.5mg/l를 초과하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 4. 수도수에서의 ABS의 성분은 전지점에서 0.1mg/l 이하의 분포를 보였다. 5. 급수계통내의 ABS의 농도는 갈수기보다 우수기에 감소함으로써 ABS의 오염이 가정폐수와 점원오염원에 기인함을 알 수 있었다.
In order to evaluate the degree of water pollution by surfactants in water supply system. the concentration of Alkyl Benzene Sulfonates(ABS) was measured at raw water, treated water and tap water in water supply system of Pusan City and Chinju City. ABS was measured by Methylene Blue Active Substances(MBAS) method and ABS was identified and quantified by Infrared Spectrometry. The results of this study were as follows; 1. In recovery test concerning to the MBAS method and the ABS/MBAS ratio determination method, more than 92% of the added ABS was recovered. And in reproducibility test, the relative standard deviations for the determination of the contents of MBAS and ABS and the ratio of ABS/MBAS were all smaller than ± 8% in each samples used in this experiment, respectively. 2. The ratio of ABS/MBAS was 0.80 in raw water and that of ABS/MBAS were 0.52 in both treated water and tap water. So there were many errors in analysing ABS in this water of water supply system by only MBAS method. 3. In drinking water sources, the content of MBAS was O.056mg/l and that of ABS 0.045mg/l in Chinyang Ho and those were the lowest, O.353mg/l and 0.282mg/l in Haedong reservoir and those were highest. 4. The contents of ABS in tap water and treated water were below than O.lmg/l in all points.
