경상도 邑治 景觀의 鎭産에 관한 고찰

A Study on Jinsan(鎭山) of Traditional Eup(邑) Towns in Gyeongsang Province

In the dissertation. the Jinsan is discussed as a landscape in the traditional eup(邑) towns in Gyeongsang Province. The survey of landscape in Gyeongsang the Jinsan Province ends up with the following findings. In Gyeongsangi Province, the great parts of the traditional eup(邑) towns were located in the Jinsan, and the Jinsan lies to the north of the traditional eup towns mainly. A composition and arrangement of histo -geographical landscapes of the eup towns were closely connected with the jinsan. The Jinsan had played two functions : the symbolic-religious mountain worship and the geomantic main mountain(主山). The bibo are manifested in the forms of artificial holy mounds, sacred groves, landscape architecture. toponym, folk play and so on.
