Recently, we have investigated the characteristic of the particial discharge, which is the deterioration phenomena of the electric insulation. But we have not standard test method. This paper was shown basic theory to analyze the particial discharge and the shape of test electrodes. We will find the interest thing from the divided test methods. The division of test electrode will support the practical test of insulators detrioration phenomena.
