A Study on the Collaboration Pattern between Venture Firms and Large Firms

본 연구의 목적은 소비자의 취향과 욕구의 다양화, 시장의 성숙기에 의한 제품수명주기 단축, 혁신적인 신제품개발의 범람 등 동태적인 시장환경변화에 따라 벤처기업의 내부역량과 대기업의 축적된 경영경험을 시장생존게임차원에서 상호 협력함으로써 제한된 자원의 효율성과 시장에 대한 역동성을 제고시킬 수 있는 전략을 모색하는 동시에 산업계에 협력을 위한 전략적 시사점을 제공하는데 있다. 연구의 내용은 벤처기업의 관점에서 내·외부환경에 따른 대기업과의 협력추진동기 분석, 벤처기업-대기업 협력추진동기와 벤처기업의 성장단계유형과는 어떤 관계를 가지며, 그리고, 벤처기업의 성장단계-대기업의 협력유형에 따라 협력의 성과와의 차이가 있는지 실증적으로 분석하고자 한다. 연구분석의 결과는 첫째, 벤처기업-대기업 협력추진동기에 있어서 시장지향동기는 벤처기업을 둘러싸고 있는 외부환경요인과 내부환경요인 모두가 유의적 영향을 미친 반면에 기술지향동기 및 사회적 동기에는 벤처기업의 내부생산환경만이 유의적인 영향관계였다. 둘째, 협력추구 동기와 벤처성장단계간에 차이가 있음을 발견하였다. 셋째, 벤처기업의 성장단계에 따라 대기업과의 협력유형의 차이가 존재함을 발견하였다. 넷째, 벤처기업의 성장단계에 따라서 협력성과에 유의적인 명향을 미쳤다. 끝으로 본 연구에서 제시한 방법론적 틀의 실천적인 의미와 앞으로의 연구방향에 대하여 제안하였다.

The ultimate purpose of this study is in pursuit of a way of survival game together through collaboration of accumulated know-how management of large firms and a challenging spirit of venture firms as an empirical study on the collaboration pattern between venture firms and large firms. The results are as follows. First, a market-oriented motive has had a meaningful influence on both internal and external environmental factor surrounded by venture firms for a collaboration performance motive of venture and large firms, and a skill-oriented and social one on only internal productive environment. Second, a group with a high collaboration performance motive are on an establishment and a commercialization stage, while a group with a low one are on the verge of a growing and mature stage. Therefore the hypothesis was adopted that a growth stage of venture firms were going to have difference according to a collaboration performance motive. Third, the hypothesis was also adopted that collaboration pattern with large firms was going to have difference according to growth stage pattern of venture firms. In other words, the more venture firms grow, the more collaboration pattern by function increases, and as a type of outsourcing, cooperative investment, spin out and merger taken over decrease. Fourth, it has had a meaningful influence on collaboration performance according to growth stage pattern of venture firms. Lastly, this study has showed a practical meaning of revealed methodical frame and a study direction in the future.
