There was much oppression political, economical, social and cultural by the Japanese Empire in 1930s. In The descendants of Hwarang by Kim, Dong- Ri, the narrative revolves around the conflict and struggles between two forces, the protagonist and the antagonist. The collision and the strife of these two forces are the central pivot of the narrative. The former, the protagonists are the followers who imitate and pursuit for the Japanese colonialism but the last against it. Kim, Dong-Ri tells us the descendants of Hwarang who pursuits the fundamentals of life in the tradition and the convention of our history as a Confucian Human Being. This Confucian Being or Self is a freedom with a natural nature and also a modern being against the colonial policy by Japan. Therefore, the humanity depending upon Confucian idea and the Neo-confucianism as a world overview, is a property not only we should keep against the modernic human being but for the moral values as fundamentals of live but also a movement denounce the foreign influence.
