The Study of slave Stories in 《Baksochonwha(樸素村話)》

《Baksochonwha(撲素村話)》is the unofficial historical story that Lee Dong Yoon wrote in the late 18th century. It was written by the intelligent man who resided in Chung Cheong Area and had greatly regional characteristics. That included many various things, like the stories about the writer's family, his teacher, the characters of the older groups, Cheong Dynasty of the China, and the slaves. These were different from other stories and had unique aspects which other stories didn't show. This study is to identify the meaning and characters of unofficial historical stories with the 20 slavery stories in 《Baksochonwha》. 《Baksochonwha》 contained the stories like 'chuno type(推奴型)', 'chungno type(忠奴型)', 'yeokno type(逆奴型)', In the 'chungno type', there were the solutions about how they arrested refugee slave. In the 'chungno type', there was the traditional and exemplary style of slave who followed the cause which the owner's position were distinguished from that of the slave. Through the 'yeokno type', it emphasized the serious catastrophe of the slave who betrayed the owner. Lee Dong Yuon expressed the realistic crisis by laxity and dismantlemant of traditional status system through the various slavery stories like above. Also he sought to the continuity of traditional status system by showing his own ideas for solving the conflict of owner and slave. But there were some limits in his solutions because how to solve the problems was based on the ideology of old intelligent guys. And it couldn't help having the other limits in that his desire to liberalize slaves' position and the achievement didn't go in advance of the historic development levels or follow those things.
