재미한인 시에 나타난 <고향>의 의미

The aim of this paper is to study the meaning of home town in the Korean -American poetry. As the result, I got six kinds of meaning of home town in Korean-American poetry. 1) A home town is the origin of self-identity. 2) A home town is the place of relationship and union. 3) A home town is the world of mythical life. 4) A home town is the place of maternity. 5) A home town is the world of first-experience. 6) A strange land becomes a home town gradually by Korean-American's effort. In Korean-American poetry, the home town is an important theme quantitatively as well as qualitatively. I believe that new way of understanding Korean-American poetry can be made by this work.
