중등미술교원 양성을 위한 사범대학의 교육과정 현황 분석

A Study on the Korean Secondary Art Education Curricula for the students in educational college

중등미술교원 양성을 목적으로 하는 국내 사범대학 미술교육과의 교육과정을 비교 분석하고, 미국, 일본의 중등교원 양성 과정이 있는 4개 대학을 선정하여 국내대학과 의 교육과정을 비교하였다. 우리나라의 교육과정은 교과교육학 과목의 종류 및 과목수 가 교과내용학에 비하여 상당히 빈약하며, 미술교육과의 교육과정이 작가 양성을 목표 로 하는 일반 미술대학의 교육과정과 별 차이가 없다. 따라서 미술교육과의 설치 목적 및 졸업생의 향후 진로를 염두에 두고 교과교육학 분야가 보강된 형태의 균형 잡힌 통 합적 교과과정의 모색이 필요하며, 이를 대학에서 체계적으로 지도할 수 있는 교수 인 력의 양성 및 확보가 시급한 것으로 나타났다.

The objective of this study is to analyze the secondary art education curricula of the six Korean universities and compare them with four universities in U.S.A. and Japan. It has been found that our secondary art education curricula have severe biased aspects in proportioning the ratio between the theory and studio courses. They contain very little theory courses with a lot of studio art courses. The curricula of art education department those educate secondary art teachers provide various courses of oriental drawing, painting, design, sculpture, and are not much different from those of arts and design major department for training the full-time artists. To have a distinctive identities and to realize the objective of the art education curricula, we need to pursue more reinforced theory courses and balanced integrated curricula, that is, design and develop art education curriculum, teaching studio art, assessment in art education, visual culture and art education, instructional technology in art education. We also need the organized plan to secure the professors who can teach the theory courses in art education.
