홀리스틱 미술교육의 제안-홀리스틱교육 관점에서 미술과 교육의 지향과 실천-

Suggestions of Holistic Art Education-The Direction and Practice of Art Education from the Holistic Perspective-

오늘날 학교미술 교육현장은 생명존중교육과 정신성교육(spiritual education)에 초점을 맞추고, ‘관계성’을 중시하는 새로운 교육개혁운동으로 홀리스틱 교육에 많은 관심을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 홀리스틱 교육의 이념에 기초하여 미술교육의 새로운 방향과 실천전략을 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해, 미술교육에서 홀리스 틱 교육이념 도입의 필요성을 고찰하고, 홀리스틱 교육 관점에서 미술교육의 실천을 위한 지향과 전략을 탐색 한 후, 홀리스틱 교육 패러다임에 기초한 미술교육의 실천사 례와 학습효과를 몇 가지 소개하고 살펴보았다. 미술과 교수 학습방법에 있어 인간과 인간, 인간과 세계, 인간과 생태계와의 상호 연계성과 관계회복을 중시하는 홀리스틱 교육 패러다임으로의 사고의 전환과, 신체와 정신의 연계교육을 추구할 것을 제안함으 로서, 미술과 본래의 목표인 진정한 미적인간의 육성에 기여하고자 한다.

The present study aims at exploring the directions and practical strategies of art education based on Holistic paradigm of education drawing attention for new educational reform movement by emphasizing the ‘relationship' since the late 20th century, which focused on life-respect education and spiritual education missed in the current school education. Thus, the present study deals with the followings: 1. First, to discuss the need of Holistic education in art education, 2. From the perspective of Holistic education, to explore the practice and strategy of art education, and 3. Based on the paradigm of Holistic education, to introduce several cases of practices of art education and its influence on learning. As a result, in the teaching and learning of art the interrelationships among human beings and human beings, human beings and the world, and human beings and ecology are considered as important in Holistic paradigm of education. Thus, the present study suggests the change of thinking toward the Holistic educational paradigm and connection education between the body and the mind. In addition, the results of this study will contribute to educating truly artful human beings which is the fundamental purpose of art.
