The Filmic Subject and Vision in the Modern Poetry

This paper considers to the filmic subject and vision in the modern poetry. The basis theory is the Lacanian psycho-analytics to the subject. Especially, his theory of mirror stage and J-A. Miller's theory of suture are quoted. The ego of human is constructed in period between 6~18 months after birth. This time, the mirror image is experience of the other. Enfant constructs a unified ego through the identification with the other. This is a narcissism. Thus, the subject is effect of the vision-field. Then, the vision-field is divided to the eye and the gaze. The eye points to a position of subject and the gaze points to a position of the other. That is to said, vision-field divided into the subject and the other. Modern poetry's space is ruled by that division. And that points a division of poetic subject. Whang, Ji-Woo' poetry illustrates the division well. It is said that modern poetry is constructed to division of the eye and gaze. And that illustrates a filmic subject of modern poetry.
