A Study on the Decision of Public Facilities' Designation and Conflict Management

1. CONTENTS (1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study is to resolve conflict between local government concerning the decision of Public facilities' designation. In order to achieve this purpose, with the increasingly deep concerns on Public facilities' designation conflict has become so large and complex that conflict resolution between local autonomies should be regarded as an urgent issue calling for new approaches. In relation to this issue, this study has an intention of examining conflict and conflict management between local autonomies, especially, with emphasis on conflict problem concerning the public facilities' designation. And then, suggests the efficient directions of conflict management between local autonomies. (2) RESEARCH METHOD Literature study and Case approach. (3) RESEARCH FINDINGS This study deals with the case of the decision conflict of Public facilities' designation between Cheonan and Dangjin, Pyeongtaek and Dangjin, Sacheon and Namhae. These causes of conflict are summarized as follows; ① The Localization era comes ② PIMBY ③ Civil Participation ④ il-legislation of Marine boundary. 2. RESULTS To resolve conflict between local government concerning the decision of Public facilities' designation were as follows; ① The necessity of establishment of Standards concerning the decision of Public facilities' designation ② The legislation of the decision of Public facilities' designation ③ Conflict management inter-party(improvement of negotiation and process) ④ change with perception. 3.
