The classification system is a critical frame which organizes a subjectivity of human. Especially, genre-systems of literature are various, and then each genre-system differently accompanies the methods, subjects, and political implications of literary study. Jo, Dong-il and Kim, Yoon-sik has been proposed the genre-systems of literary based on historicism. In those theories, hybrid category (or genre) was denied and blamed rather than positively accepted. They had seen a hybrid category as an obstacle that de-stabilizes the coherence of genresystem and the nature of novel. On the contrary, M. M. Bakhin regards a hybrid category as the nature of novel. The mode of enunciation in narrative is a mixed speech, and various voices can co-exist in narrative text. If so, we must take up the study of hybrid category. Because hybrid category also is a mixture of various genres (i.e. voices). Now the paradigm shift of genre-system was focused on how to deal with a hybrid category which was made of mixing literary and film. So, there are discussions that construct a complexly genre-system in the study of Korean literature. The study on relation between novel and cinema was based on the neo-classification system.
