Classroom English is essential for successful English classroom, because it provides students with a rich language input environment and facilitates language leaning The present study investigated how students of pre-service programs improved their language proficiency by doing a team-based project for enhancing their classroom English skills The approach of this project was practice-driven. The project consisted of seven stages two different types of listening, reading aloud with a CD, memorizing script, performing and recording, correcting errors, and writing diaries. For this purpose, survey and retrospective methods were used The data gathered from the analysis of students' errors and their retrospective diaries provided the main evidence for discussion The data revealed that students had weak confidence about their English proficiency and made huge errors in pronunciation, grammar, and fluency It also showed that students began to recognize their own problems with English and found learning strategies to increase their confidence in learning English
