Developing Content of the Premarital Preparation Program

The purpose of this study is to develop the content of the Premarital Preparation Program for Korea. The nominal group method was used Results indicate 4 major subjects and 15 topics. the intrapersonal area (emotions, marital motivation, love), the interpersonal area (communication, crisis/conflict, roles, parenthood, sex, leisure, lifestyle, financial management), the extrapersonal area (relatives in blood and law) and the practical marriage preparation area (articles essential to marriage, weddings, and law regarding marriage and marital relationships) An example of a five-session version of the premarital preparation program is provided.
