평생교육관점에서의 초등교사 전문성 고찰-행위과학(Action Science)을 통한 초등교사의 실제활용이론(theories-in-use)탐색

Reconsidering Professional Development of Teachers from Lifelong Education Perspective-An Action Science-based Analysis on Theories-in-use of Elementary School Teachers'-

본 연구는 평생교육의 관점에서 초등교사의 전문성 발달의 문제를 행위과학을 통하여 실천 적으로 접근하였다. 이 문제를 초등교사가 학교의 장에서 업무를 수행하면서 형성한 실제활용이론에 초점을 두고 탐색하였다. 학교업무에 대한 초등교사의 실제활용이론은 두 측면으로 탐색되었다. 한 측면은 업무배정과 업무처리와 관련된 개념이 탐색되었고, 다른 측면은 다양한 업무상황에서의 초등교사의 실제활용이론이 탐색되었다. 초등학교에서의 업무배정과 업무처리에 대한 개념은 업무관계면과 업무처리면으로 구분되었다. 업무관계면에서의 탐색된 개념은 합리적 방식, 민주적 방식, 인간적 방식이고, 업무처리면에서의 탐색된 개념은 능력과 협력체제이다. 실제 업무상황에서의 실제활용이론은 초등교사가 학교에서 교사로서 업무를 수행하면서 서로 주고받은 직 접적이고 구체적인 대화사례와 엽무를 수행하면서 추구한 가치, 그 가치를 실현하기 위해 취한 행위전략, 행위의 결과간의 관계를 포함한 행위지도를 중심으로 탐색하였다. 본 연구는 교사의 전문성 개발 문제를 평생교육관점에서 시도한 연구로 학교교육관점에서 규범적으로 규정하는 접 근 방법을 취하지 않고 행위과학을 통해 교사의 전문성 개발과 관련하여 실제로 유용하게 활용 될 수 있는 지식을 창출하는 방향으로 접근하였다.

This study, by adopting action science. uncovers theories-in-use of elementary school teachers' with an attempt to reconsider teachers' professional development from lifelong education perspective. Teachers' theories-in-use can be divided into two dimensions. The one dimension concerns to exploring concepts regarding task assignment and task relations. The other dimension concerns to uncovering teachers' theories-in-use in actual task performing situations. With regard to exploring concepts for the task assignment and relations, the notions of rational. democratic, and humanistic ways of assigning tasks and notions of competence-based and cooperative system-oriented task management are underlined. For the attempt to uncover teachers' theories-in-use, action mapping which lays out values, strategy, and consequences of actions are adopted. This study, by adopting action science approach in dealing with the issues of professional development of teachers,' contributes to expanding and overcoming the current normative framework of teachers' professional development.
