This paper is going to try to light up what the dualistic idea of JinJeong(眞靜) CheonChaek(天책) looked like and how he formed his idea into the poeticworks. CheonChaek made a great contribution to the development of the Buddhism at Baengnyeonsa(白蓮社), where A lot of followers came together: They were all fascinated by his career to have passed the state examination, his competence to carry out religious disciplines and his talent in literature. JeongYakyoung considered him as one of the three representative poets in Korea Dynasty. However, CheonChaek has been almost forgotten in the history of Korean literature. His idea was based mainly on Beopwasasang(法華思想), while he accepted Sunsasang(禪思想) as another way to understand the world. His poems, which delivered Beopwasasang are thought to have relatively low quality of literature. They show nevertheless his ideological dimension and high quality of poetic value. They also make it possible to observe how skillfully he could deal with metaphoric and rhetorical technique. His poems of Zen style written from a view of nature are recognized as excellent works due to their poetic refinement.
