The Comparative Analysis of Two Variants of Sassi-Namjoengi(사씨남정기)

This study is on the difference of Sasi-Namjoengi's two variant. The one written in classical Chinese is possessed by Gyuchang-gak(규장각), and the other in korean is possessed by Changsoe-gak(장서각). The variant in classical Chinese was translated by Kim-Chuntack(김춘택). He was the high class gentleman, and the taste and ideology of the class was reflected in it. That is the narrator's slant to Confucianism and calm attitude to implied reader. He thought that the novel should have been written by the style of historian. On the contrary, the variant in Korean is not so ideological. The narrator is intimate with the implied reader. All the more, the two have different verisimilitude. Classical chinese‘s is correctness and the korean' is vividness of scene. The relation between language and text is inferred as follows. The difference of reader and their culture made two kind of variant. Most of all, I focused on the way of reading. The text in Classical chinese was read silently, and the text in korean read loudly. This difference effected the formation of text.
