일제 강점기 일간지를 통해 본 경남·부산지역 아동문학-시대일보·중외일보·매일신보(1910-1930) 소재 동시를 중심으로-

A Study on the Juvenile Literature in Kyeongnam and Busan through the Daily Presses in the Colonial Period-centering around children's verse published in Sidae-ilbo, Jungeui-ilbo, and Mail-sinbo(1910~1930)

This study is to investigate thoroughly and research children's verse which had been published in the daily presses(1910~1930) as a part of researches about juvenile literature in Kyungnam and Busan region in the colonial period. The results so far achieved are in substance as follows. 1. I could investigate 48pieces of children's verses among 225pieces of poetry in Sidae-ilbo(1924. 8~1926. 8). These children's verses contain 3 pieces of So-Un Kim(from Busan)'s, 2pieces of L. K. So(from Busan)'s, and a piece of Jung-Ho Lee(from Uiryeong)'s. Especially <Gaeami(i. e. ant)> of So-Un Kim is his first poem, and <Unnija, when shall we meet 'tomorrow'> of Jung-Ho Lee is the second class without the first at the part of children's song in the Spring Literary Contest. 2. In Jungeui-ilbo(1926. 11~1930. 10), I could find 1657 pieces of children's verse. Among these pieces, the rate of children's verse is about 52 percent. So we can say that Jungeui-ilbo played an important part in the development of children's verse as the public printed media. In particular as a poet of Kyungnam and Busan, Gu-Wol Lee(from Masan), U-Jung Yang(from Haman) published lots of poems, and succeeding them Sang-Kyu Jung(from Jinju), Jae-Pyeo Lee(from Jinju), Gil-Sang Son(from Jinju), Duck-Chul Seo(from Ulsan), Hyung-Du Kim(from Goseong), Go-Gae Kim(from Uiryeong), and Young-Hee Lee(from Uiryeong) contributed a many good works in this paper. Of course except them we can meet Won-Su Lee(from Yangsan), Go-Song Sin(from Unyang) and others as a writer of children's verse in this region. 3. Mail-sinbo is a pro-Japanese newspaper from 1910~1945, but it is the only one which had been published by Korean until 1920. The public often contributed his works regardless of the quality of this pro-Japanese newspaper. So we should view and consider the world of children's verse objectively for study. When I surveyed poems including children's verses on this paper from this point, I could find unexpectedly many works that criticize hard facts of life. As a poet of Kyungnam and Busan, Sung-Tae Lee(from Busan), Mun-Kyung Whang(from Busan), and Hung-Seob Eum(from Nonsan in Chungnam, but lived in Jinju until the late of 1920s) contributed their own children's verse and received a prize in the literary contest. In 1930 Yun-Whan Jung(from Namhae), Dae-Seong Park(from Namhae), and Kwan-Su Oh(from Goseong)'s works were published in this paper, but were critical apart from the quality of this paper.
