Songs of love affairs between men and women among Koreo's sokga were used for political purposes by the founders of Chosun Dynasty. In other words, the Chosun founders such as Sung-Ge Yi and Do-Jun Jung accepted only the transformation of their contents and used them for the purpose of justifying and strengthening their founding ideology. The representative songs among them are <Ssang Hwa Jum> and <Hu Jun Jin Jak>. As these songs contained the corruption and lewdness of Koreo's kings and high-level government officials, they were not allowed to be performed at the Koreo's court. Therefore, Koreo's songs at the early period of Yi Dynasty had far more different contents than they used to. These transformations of Koreo's songs can be seen in the same context as a distorted view of Koreo's history. This perspective can also be understood in terms of political and economic reforms carried out by Do-Jun Jung and other reformers. The ostracism of love scandals between men and women enforced by King Sung- Jong and King Jung-Jong after King Se-Jong is different from that at the early period of Chosun foundation in its circumstance and purposes.
