The Aspects of Description of Classical literature in the History of North Korean literature

In this thesis, I studied on The Aspects of Description of Classical literature in the History of North Korean literature. The results are as follows. In North Korea, it is common that the history of literature is written by groups of scholars not by individuals. That's because the policy of the Labor Party has an affect on its writing. The description of the classical literature in the history of literature, is also influenced by the direction of policy. Volumes one to six of The History of Choson Literature published in the 1990's deals with the classical literature. In The History of Choson Literature the objects of describing have been more widened compared to the histories of literature published in an early stage. This is attributed to Kim Jong-Il's The Theory of Chuche Literature insisting on the wide succession to the legacy of national culture. In the history of classical literature, the objects have been depicted more widely. This shows that in North Korea the study on the history of classical literature has been advanced well. Also we need correct understanding and analysis about culture differentiation between South and North Korea.
