Character of Balhae’s Culture

First of all I examine different standpoint of research review about Balhae’s culture. For research of Balhae’s culture objectively, we must pose about Balhae, Koguryo, Malgal and etc. with an attitude of perfect composure. Next variety of Balhae’s culture is to be classified into four parts. Koguryo element is mounded tomb with a stone burial chamber, building constructed on tomb, dwelling site, castle, Buddha image, antefix with lotus flower motif, four-handled jar, etc. Malgal element is ceramic jar and direct inhumation tomb. T’ang element is brick tomb and level ground castle. The others is estorianism, ocean culture, originality. Last a cause of Balhae’s variety culture is examined through waist ornament of Malgal, Yeojin and pendant of T’ang and Balhae. In comparison between two relic distribution and territory of Koguryo and Balhae, after all variety of Balhae’ culture originated in the existing state of things that take possession of more than Koguryo’s former territory and that constitute various ethnicity.
