Chomsky (1999, 2000) assumes that there are three uninterpretable features; agreement-, EPP-, and Case-feature. But we might predict incorrectly, by the assumption, that some sentences containing EXPL. there construction are crashed since the uninterpretable [person]-feature of EXPL. still remains, not being deleted. To solve the problem, Lee (2001) and Sun (2002) assumed that EXPL. there had Case-feature. However, they have still had some problems; what Case is assigned and what assigns Case to EXPL. In this work, in order to solve the problems, we assume these; (ⅰ) EXPL. has Case-feature as uninterpretable features, as well as [person]-feature, (ⅱ) in structural Cases there is another structural Case, Expletive Case, as well as Nominative and Accusative Case, (ⅲ) EXPL. is assigned another structural Case, Expletive Case.
